  • OFSTED visit

    Mon 18 Dec 2017

    Dear Redwood Families

As you may know, Ofsted inspectors visited our School last Tuesday and Wednesday. Ofsted reports are usually available to read within 2 to3 weeks of a visit, but ours is likely to take longer because of the Christmas break. As soon as we are able to do so, we will email the report to parents/carers, and put a link to it on our website.

Ofsted inspectors have asked us to pass on their thanks to our pupils for being so welcoming and polite, and to those of our parents who gave feedback, either in person or electronically.

I would like to add my thanks for your on-going support for Redwood.

I wish you a very happy Christmas break, and a peaceful new year.

    Yours sincerely

    Jane Calladine

    Executive Headteacher

  • SNOW IS ON THE WAY!

    SNOW IS ON THE WAY!
You are probably aware that heavy snow is forecast for Sunday. It is very unlikely that we will have to close school as a result of this weather so remember to send your child wrapped up warm so that they can enjoy the snow while it lasts!
If for any reason we do have to close classes, we will notify parents by text as soon as possible. If you do not receive a text, your child's class will be open as normal.
    Many thanks
  • Class Dojo

    Mon 04 Dec 2017
We have been made aware that there is an issue involving Class Dojo and YouTube. A message was sent by the Class Dojo app to PARENT ACCOUNTS ONLY showing new features of the programme. This contained a link to a YouTube clip which opened in a new window. The user could then access YouTube as normal. This link could not be accessed through children’s accounts.

Please be aware that Class Dojo parent accounts are for adult use only and some messages from the Dojo app may contain links to websites where material deemed to be unsuitable for children of primary school age is allowed. It is important that children are supervised appropriately when using mobile devices which do not have parental controls enabled to avoid them having full access to websites such as YouTube.
    Many thanks.
