Safeguarding

Everyone working in, or for our school, shares an objective to help keep children and young people safe by contributing to;

  • Providing a safe environment for children and young people to learn in education settings;
  • Identifying children who may be at risk of radicalisation, in need of extra help, or are suffering or likely to suffer significant harm, and taking the appropriate action, working with other services as needed.

If you have any concerns regarding the welfare of a child, please report this to one of our Designated Safeguarding Leads as soon as possible.

These people are:

Mrs Sandra Dingle - Designated Safeguarding Lead

Ms Rohanne Nicholson - Deputy Safeguarding Lead

Mrs Claire Kinder - Deputy Safeguarding Lead

Mrs Helen Roe - Deputy Safeguarding Lead

One of the Safeguarding Leads is always available during school hours to speak to anyone who has concerns about the welfare of a child. You can speak to them in person or call school on 01332 767443 and ask to speak to the DSL.

Out of school hours or during holidays, you can report concerns by emailing our Safeguarding team. The email address is safeguarding@redwood.derby.sch.uk

This email is monitored by the above staff and they will respond to any concerns as soon as possible.
