At Redwood, we use the Purple Mash 2BeSafe scheme to deliver online safety lessons to ensure our pupils develop the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to stay safe in an increasingly digital world.
2BeSafe provides a structured and age-appropriate online safety curriculum for every year group. The programme covers essential topics such as protecting personal information, understanding privacy, recognising and responding to cyberbullying, identifying reliable information online, and knowing how to report concerns.
At Redwood, we believe that online safety is about more than just rules — it is about helping children make informed, responsible choices. The 2BeSafe scheme supports this by encouraging discussion, critical thinking and reflection, helping pupils understand how their online actions can affect themselves and others.
We use 2BeSafe to ensure our teaching is consistent, up-to-date and aligned with national safeguarding guidance. By embedding online safety across the curriculum, we aim to empower our pupils to use technology positively, respectfully and safely — both in school and beyond.

At Redwood, we deliver our Computing curriculum through the scheme of work provided by 2Simple Software on the Purple Mash.
The Purple Mash curriculum provides a clear and progressive programme from Early Years to Year 6, covering the three key strands of the National Curriculum: Computer Science, Information Technology, and Digital Literacy. Pupils learn to code and debug, use a range of digital tools creatively, and understand how to use technology safely and responsibly.
We use Purple Mash at Redwood to ensure our Computing curriculum is engaging, consistent and well-sequenced, helping all pupils develop the skills and confidence they need for an increasingly digital world.
