We’re Here to Listen and Help

We want every family in our school community to feel listened to, supported and confident about how to share any questions, worries or concerns with us.

The Department for Education (DfE) has recently published guidance for parents and carers on raising feedback, concerns or complaints. The guidance is designed to help schools and families work together to resolve issues quickly, calmly and positively.

    Here’s how our process works:

    • Start by talking to your child’s class teacher. Most questions or concerns can be resolved quickly through an informal conversation with the member of staff who knows your child best.
    • If you still feel that things haven’t been resolved, you can speak with a senior leader, followed by the Headteacher if needed.
    • If a formal complaint is necessary, our Complaints Procedure sets out each stage clearly, including who will respond and the timescales involved.
    • Throughout the process, we ask that everyone communicates respectfully and positively, so that we can work together to find the best way forward for your child.

You can find the DfE Parent Guide attached below, which provides further information and helpful advice.

    Working Together

We really value the partnership we have with our families. Your feedback helps us to listen, learn and continually improve, and we want you to feel comfortable approaching us whenever you have a question or concern.

Please come and talk to us — we’re always happy to listen and help. By working together in an open and supportive way, we can ensure that your child feels happy, safe and able to thrive at school.
