  • Attendance

At Redwood, we have high expectations for attendance. Good school attendance is crucial for children, as it directly impacts upon their academic progress. Regular attendance not only helps children absorb lessons better but also fosters a sense of routine and responsibility. Moreover, being present in school is essential for developing social skills; students learn to interact, collaborate, and build friendships, which are invaluable throughout life.

To help improve attendance, we can support you through open and honest communication. The Pastoral Team can implement strategies to support your children e.g. meet and greet on arrival, specific 1:1 sessions around attendance and emotional wellbeing. We may invite you to meetings to discuss what additional help you might need.

At home, setting structured routines around bedtime and morning preparations can encourage children to attend school consistently. It is important to communicate with us so that we can do the very best to support your family. Together, we can cultivate good habits that will serve students well into their future, laying the groundwork for lifelong learning and success.
