At Redwood, PSHE learning goes beyond the classroom. Throughout the year, pupils develop their knowledge, confidence and life skills through whole-school events, assemblies, visitors, workshops and practical experiences. Our children take an active role through School Council, pupil voice, the Buddy Bench and Kindness Pocket, while events such as Anti-Bullying Week, Black History Month, Children’s Mental Health Week and Safer Internet Day provide opportunities to explore important issues together. Pupils also develop practical skills through experiences such as NSPCC workshops, first aid, rail and water safety activities, charity events and community projects, helping them apply their learning to real-life situations and make a positive difference to themselves, others and the wider community.
