Welcome to Toucans Class!

Hello all! Mr Bullock here. I will be your teacher for this academic year. I would like to also introduce you to Mrs Pullen who is our teaching assistant in year three as well as Mr Lloyd and Mrs Dobson, who are the other Year 3 teachers. My classroom can be found in between Mrs Dobson and Mr Lloyds. 

Our PE Day is Monday and you will need to come to school in your PE kit on that day. Remember to remove any jewellery, including earrings. If this is not possible, please place tape over them before coming into school. Our PE themes this term are 'Ball Games' and 'Dance'.  Most of our PE will be outside so make sure you come to school in trainers and appropriate PE kit.

Our PE kit is:

• Black/grey shorts / black/grey joggers
• White/black t-shirt 
• White/Black trainers 

Home Learning

Reading - at Redwood, we foster a whole school love of reading and writing. The power of reading helps to develop inference, deduction and comprehension skills. When being exposed to a diverse range of books, it allows children to regularly write in different genres and creates a more cohesive learning experience. 

ALL students will change their book every Monday. 

Times Table Rockstars - Each child has their own unique login to TTRS. Most students will complete a 'Sound Check' once per week. Please complete the five games that can be seen above. When children frequently, successfully recall their times tables they will grow in confidence, which will not only help them tackle more challenging maths problems, but will help to keep them motivated and engaged across other subjects too.

EdShed - Each child has their own unique log in. This will allow them access to their spellings. 

Nessy - Some children will have their own unique log in for Nessy. Please complete the tasks that are set for your child.
