Sports & Clubs
At Redwood, we offer children extra opportunities to take part in sports clubs. Often these clubs are lead by coaches from our local sports partnerships and require a small cost to join. Derby County Community Trust (DCCT) offer two clubs each half term to different year groups; this half term we have Multi-Sports (Years 1/2) and Basketball (Years 3-6) on offer.
We are fortunate to receive free tennis morning sessions from the Derby Tennis Centre (DTC)! They will be working on a half termly cycle with each year group; this term they are going to be work with Year 5. Children who complete all six sessions will receive a free tennis racket (bonus!).
Mr Bullock also runs a football session for Year 6 children - see Mr Bullock if you would like to join this club.
Miss Jones and Miss Torrance have now started their netball club again.
Finally, we have the new addition of Bollywood dance which is lead by Mrs Atwal every Thursday evening.
